Demons Of Darkness

a fear lies within me
so deep and dark that none can see
it comes to me in dreams
from which I cannot escape
conquer it I must

in the hours before first light
where it roams, lurking just out of reach
these demons of darkness would my soul have
as ever so softly they call to me

Hi Melonie, I really do like this. It intrigues me and seeems to be pulling me along with the poet into a visit with those demons of darkenss.

I am sorry about having to change your blog again. I need to take a sabatical and save my work. Then I can change over to the New Blogger. Next time, I hope never, you could copy your template (highlight and Control 'C') and paste it into your word processor. Then you will have your links saved.

Lastly, you had me doing a little quick and easy research on Cassiopeia. Are you referring to the constellation or the Queen? Or reader's choice?

I might start calling you Cassi. Would that be a problem? :-)

This one is deep and dark and excellently crafted. Nicely done.

Jim. you may call me Cassi. The name I took from watch the stars the other night. They make a figure of an upside down Queen in a chair. So I guess it's both. I am so glad you liked my poem. Hope to hear from you soon.

Those horrible, dark demons can wreak havoc. You capture the experience so well.

Good luck with your blog, Melanie.
