Elusive Dreams

waking from deep sleep
my eyes heavy with star dust
I wish not to wake
for in dreams my love is true
elusive though he may be

dream on my angel
fill this empty heart with music
cool me with your kiss
as we walk the sands of time
I would not leave you this night

so dream on my sweet
dream on my one true lover
leave me not to wake
let us walk this bright moonlight
till gleaming stars set at dawn

Melanie, this is sooooooo appropriate for me today.
I'd better not tell why, but you said it so well. I am beginning to believe everyone should experience this dream, preferably in a recurring manner. I enjoy mine, it is a recurring one, quite often, during my waking hours.

So romantic and personal. Very well done. Ah, to be in a dream like this.

Melanie,

if i will have a dream like that, i wouldn't want to wake up anymore because i am sure i am happy in my state of dream...:)

but an admirer sent me a very early text message i would like to share it you, and said the following:

"Dream visits us when we are asleep, but God is truly wise, He wakes us up each day to give us all the chance to make those dreams come true....good morning!"

isn't that sweet? but my, my admirer does not want to give his identity...:)

just let it be!

have a great week ahead Melanie...:)

I want to have a dream like this one, and since I can't, I am going to have to live through yours. Beautiful!

A most wonderful dream. Romantic, charming, elusive and so rhythmic.

Nice take on your dream. Mine are so often filled with things eluding me, like I can't find my way, or open a door. Here, you've found what you've been looking for! Makes me feel good to read it!

I can only quote from one of my poems!

The real me is somewhere
Waiting for the stir
If you want to know me
May be there would be
Metamorphosis
If you wish
Or, you may petrify
In embrace, knowing me

Its been quite some time- a longish break from blogspot!

A good post!
