cool gentle night rains
stepping through puddles of life
searching for the road

My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends-
It gives a lovely light!

I like the imagery here, Melanie, stepping through those puddles can be fun.
Also there are Sir Walter Raleighs in life which lead to the road. Can we find one? :)
..
i hear you on this one! nice work!
rain seeking roadway
puddles gather like desires
caressing my toes
Rainless night
Like it, Melanie!
clouds roll over
ooh switches and imagery with more then one meaning-clever. Here's mine.

Thanks MMT. I could have said:
night rains
stepping through puddles
searching for the road
More to the point I think.
