Dandelion Dreams

once more
to lie
amid a haze,
a deep yellow-green field
of dandelions.

their pungent order
so bitter sweet
fills the long liquid
days of summer.

as she, suspended...
in one
brilliant
moment of sunlight...
slowly, bends
to pick this heady brew
the last feast of seasons end

I can remember those yellow and green fields, Melanie. I can see that you like meadows and fields, and the seasons with flowers.

Do you remember catching them in bloom? Then we would blow those seeds to the winds.

Very powerful imagery here, very enjoyable. Brings back many fond memories of when I was not so reclusive.
