The Grave Yard

gray clouds gather
casting shadows
over the ancient graveyard
tombstones weep elemental moss
tears of long ago line the stones
covering neglected graves worn
to nothing as the wind sounds hollow
in this forgotten place

You've given a very good visual of a darkened graveyard. My favorite line is, "Tombstones weep elemental moss." Since they are lifeless, that's about all the can "weep."

I enjoyed reading this poem as well as some of your others.

Thank you Mara. I have been ill in hospital for two months, I am a bit rusty. I thank for your kind comment.
