I am at a lost as to what to say.
My heart and mind goes to the creation of mankind.
What a wonderful vision to behold.
As AA members say, each day,
each meeting, who created us in His image.

My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends-
It gives a lovely light!

Hi Melanie. These thoughts are wonderful for a very nice poem.
Please make it shorter than Genisis! :-)
Actually Adam was easy for God with dirt everywhere. Eve was a little harder I'm sure as Adam had a limited supply of ribs. It only took one!
Thank you for your encouragement today, this is a hard prompt and I wasn't all satisfied with mine but I hit the 'Publish' button anyway. I did make a couple of changes since it was first up.
One was for Mrs. Grammar.
..
Thanks Jim. I meant what I said you are a great poet and wit and never fail to leave me smiling.
love, Melanie
A lovely take on the prompt - well written tribute. Your words are always astute and shining.
Now is prompt covers all that we do. Unless we copy something.
I just noticed you have a haiku site, now I am off to see it.
So we owe ourselves a little kindness. Lovely poem.
Beautiful words my friend. I am happy to read your work again. Hope all is well : )
Dear Melanie--
This poem was so succinct and sweet. I loved how you take it to the everyday, the grit and grace.
Love!
