with the morns first light
confidence pales in shadows
we are left alone

Once I Walk This Earth

once I walked this earth
tasted all its dreams
once my heart knew love
and yet I lost it all
to late now I sleep

Summer Shimmers

bright flowers drip honey
sun heat cools in the shade
time passes slowly

Old Oak Tree

a proud old oak tree
bent by time and clinging vines
supported rough bark

dressed with sweet roses
it remembered summers warmth
shimmering in light

Early Mornig

early morning comes
softly her tread lite
shimmering crystal 

Adornments Of Time

the road has grown dim

my pace now so tentative

dark shapes follow me

gray now is the earth

i encrusted with black scum

bones worn and brittle

weary now it comes

softly all the adornments

of this world beyond
