Adornments Of Time

the road has grown dim
my pace now so tentative
dark shapes follow me
gray now is the earth
i encrusted with black scum
bones worn and brittle
weary now it comes
softly all the adornments
of this world beyond

Carry On Tuesday

I wonder if it is true that when you are closer to the end of your road, you encounter all your memories and experiences at once. I liked this, dark and haunting. Ominous indeed.

Ahh, our path hasn't crossed in awhile ... good to visit. Haunting journey of time woven in your piece.
