what fools men are
ever searching for
paradise in a women
sweet words to woo her
flowers to place at her feet
whispers of love forever
a man ever looks for
that which does not exist
a fools paradise where there is none

My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends-
It gives a lovely light!

Anytime we look outside ourselves...especially if we look to another (necessarily imperfect) being...
And it is always the case Melanie. How could we not be fools when men seem to be sweetest when they want something from women?
beautiful.
I liked the poem.. but as a Man I was wondering will it be true if a man writes similar poem.....
I was thinking the same Ramesh! This was very well written. As to the sentiment, well, I have to agree it happens (very?) often though I wish things weren't so.
You made me laugh my friend.
May I amend your last para?
'a man ever looks for that he knows does exist but is skillfully hidden?'
