I walk in cool grass
fading quickly as fall comes
oh silver bells ring
In a tiny space
last of the queen of summer
wraps around me tight
fall comes readily
entwining my bodies past
soon I will be ice
solid unmoving I wait
till the pipers come
and fall melts away

Lovely images...can't wait for the pipers to come!!
I'm ready for the pipers to come and pipe summer away. It's been sizzling here in the desert!
Grass
This is lovely, I like to walk barefoot in grass. There isn't much of it here but I still remember the feel of it in England at Glastonbury. A Magical connection to the earth. I hope your fairy has a good winter sleep and melts happy with the Spring.
I enjoy walking bare foot on the grass in beautiful mornings...good take on the prompt
I love the pipers. I await them eagerly Autumn is my favorite time of year.
I love the sweet sad feeling of this haiku.
Walking in cool grass is a sensory experience everyone should experience. I also like "till the pipers come". Very nice!
