Havens Lights

last night I saw heavens lights
low in the southern sky
the milkyway revealed

then a fallen star
shot across an endless fault
trailing colors__ glorious illumination

rainbow of colors
streamed from its tail
pass red Mars__across Saturns moons

a golden color wheel__ stardust
ablaze crisscrossed silent in darkness
filling my longing eyes

Melanie, isn't it wonderful to have those lights in the heavens! And you portrayed them so truthfully and beautifully.
I've seen the first three. Every time I am in awe.

Hello Melanie. Beautiful piece. So imaginative and fantastical. Thank you for your kindness and effort to visit my blog. I liked the way you tnansformed my haiku into a contemporary one. It's much simple and the thought was still there. I've already read a lot of contemporary haikus before and yes it gives the writer more freedom and simplicity of thoughts, but i think i'm gonna stick with what i'm more familiar with although i really appreciate your appreciation and encouragement to share me another way of writing a haiku. Thank you for your frienship and kindness. I enjoyed the read.

>>God bless you and your family. Have a good day!!!:)
