Caged

heavy burdens to bear
hidden deep within
you are a stowaway
clinging to my heart
growing in darkness
a thickening web of deceit
till I am caged buried
in a maze of roots

Lovely idea, succinctly realised. I wasn't sure if you meant bare as in denude, or bear as in put up with! Either is interesting in this contxt.

Love "you are a stowaway".......and "buried in a maze of roots" - goes so well with the image. Well done.
