The Old Path

the old path overgrown and empty
lead deep into the forest
ending at a worn intersection

here she stop, remembering
time and him, days long gone
washed away with tears

Wow, B.H.D, this is good. She still remembers, and always will, their partings at that intersection. Then one time was their final, last, parting.

I like your new blog
lot--awful lot--missing you
sight for my sore eyes
(Was that a poor Senryƫ?)

wonderful poem
you took me down that path.
I was there, perhaps because it is familiar.

I really like this. It feels lived in.

Thank you, Melanie--this was poignant.

There's a couple of typos:

'lead' maybe should be 'led' or 'leads'

and here she 'stop' should be 'stops'

Thanks for a great image--

Oh, this is so poignant - I feel that intersection. Beautiful, as always.

I feel the emptiness. The overgrowth must be a painful sight.

Oh how bittersweet to revisit that place.

the tangled overgrowth, the slanted rays of light

my heart breaks
