This is a poetry,prose,Haiku and writing site
dear melanie...i've been watching morning glories turning brown with recent night frosts...as i fingered their perfect pods and felt the seeds still too green to harvest, i too found myself dreaming of the first tender shoots of spring.yes, even now spring is dreaming in brown landscapes. thank you for listening and writing their song.
Amazing things happening in nature as the earth has turned and she changes her dress!! You say it so well!!
Activities of nature, changing of the seasons are a beauty of life that every human being should experience. Your haiku is such an inspiration.
Loved the comments here.. can't say anything better.. I liked the haiku..

It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends-
It gives a lovely light!
